Lightspeed Telecom was originally founded as Econotek Communications in 1997 just after the deregulation of the telecommunications industry. The company cut its teeth in the business sector where minutes mean money, with a top priority of providing our customers with reliable, uninterrupted service around the clock. After more than fifteen years of success thanks to the dedicated service of our employees, we realized we were capable of more.

In addition to providing premium communication services to New York’s businesses and residences, Lightspeed Telecom is also dedicated to the communities in which we live and serve. “Telecom with heart” speaks to our promise to give back 3% of our net profit to not-for-profit and charitable organizations. This mission makes increasing our customer-base an even greater priority. The more we share our incredible products with those who need them, the more we’ll be able to engage in our mission of giving back to our community.

Our ability to do this in a hassle free and timely way has been enhanced by the strength of our IP network. This network is delivered through the redundancy of two diverse POPS, which are strategically located in downtown New York. Diverse fiber routes triangulated via a BGP network and supported by UPS and Generators at each location serve each secure site. Through this network and the network operations center, Lightspeed Telecom provides the most sophisticated IP voice services at the most competitive prices, as well as infrastructure wiring to a diverse spectrum of commercial consumers. As with all our service offerings, our Unified Mobility Division is staffed with experienced professionals who know how to solve all IP delivery issues.

Lightspeed Telecom is a registered CLEC (Commercial Local Exchange Carrier), licensed for Commercial customers within New York by the NYS Public Service Commission.
